Stabilotherms frying pans are manufactured in Sweden from carbon steel. Perfect for campfire use since the material withstands high temperatures. The more you use your pan, the better frying properties it will have. The inspiration for our frying pans goes way back and comes from the old Nordic dish called “kolbulle”. It was prepared in a frying pan by navvies, loggers, coal workers and other workman’s who worked long periods without access to fresh ingredients. Our frying pan began to be manufactured in Småland in the 1980s and is today a valued tool among hunters, fishermen and outdoorsmen.

Season your pan:
Now it’s time to season your new frying pan, to helps ensure a
non-stick surface. Oil the pan with a thin layer of cooking oil over the entire pan.

Place the frying pan straight into the fire. Leave it there until the oil starts to smoke and change color. Repeat the procedure 3-5 times.

If the pan starts to get dry, apply another thin layer of oil.

A seasoned pan turns brownish black, often lighter att he edges. Over time, it will get darker and more beautiful.
