GREETING CARD MUTE SWAN WITH AN ILLUSTRATION OF A MYTHICAL BIRD
There is a legend that says that the mute swan lives a completely silent life except at the moment of death when it bursts into a terrifying and beautiful song. Hence the term ‘swan song’. Hence also the name “Whooper Swan” for the other swan species we have in Sweden. In Finland, it was believed that with its long neck, the swan could communicate with both humans and birds.
The neck allowed it to reach both worlds. It was also a human that had been transformed into a bird and was therefore considered sacred. It belonged to the upper world where the birds and the gods lived and when it moved for the winter it went to the upper world of the Milky Way.

I gave my actual home address but for some unknown reason it was sent to a DPD drop point a significant distance from my house and being large package was very awkward to collect. No idea why this happened but it was extremely inconvenient. The tracking number I was issued never worked for me, and looking at it now I can see it featured the drop point Eircode instead of mine. Again, no idea why.
