About the Eurasian hoopoe

The Eurasian hoopoe (Upupa epops) inhabits large parts of Europe. It builds its nest in tree hollows or among boulders and lives on a diet of insects and other small invertebrates it finds in animal droppings. When excited, the hoopoe raises the feather plume on its head. Conversely, when protecting itself from birds of prey, it lays flat on the ground and spreads its wings so as not to be perceived as a bird.

I gave my actual home address but for some unknown reason it was sent to a DPD drop point a significant distance from my house and being large package was very awkward to collect. No idea why this happened but it was extremely inconvenient. The tracking number I was issued never worked for me, and looking at it now I can see it featured the drop point Eircode instead of mine. Again, no idea why.
