And only impressive, there are no refinements to delve into, only goodwill and admiration. Fleshy and pearly shine, on stems that defy any physical law. We buy them by the tens of thousands every fall, and especially at Christmas. It has thick, strap-shaped, 5-7 cm wide and 60-80 cm long leaves. A well-developed bulb can once a year produce one or two powerful flower stalks with 4, once in a while 6, funnel-shaped flowers, which can be up to 25 cm in diameter. The colors range from white to many different shades of red.

Amaryllis comes in many colors, as well as in solid colors, such as red, pink and white, as here, striped in red and white.
